Left Side of Belt - White Belt Stripes


1st Stripe - Basics & Kicks

Primary goals for Beginner Level - Proper rotation - Home position, hand on hip or stomach - Pivot and belt height kicks.

White Belt:     

Blocks & Strikes:
Low Block (Over knee)

High Block (Overhead with hat space)
Inner Forearm Block
Knife Hand Strike
Palm Heel


Kicks:
Front Kick (Snap out and re-chamber - toes pointed)
Side Kick (CHAMBER must be correct - kicking knee in line for chamber with belt knot and heel hits target)

Stances:
Front Stance - (Shoulder width part toes forward - Deep Walking Stance)
Middle Stance

Additional requirements:


Uniform and Pants (Tucked in and hemmed before the Yellow Belt if needed for safety)
Shoes and Socks Put Away Properly - Answering Up -Kihap's On Techniques

2nd Stripe: White Belt Form

3rd Stripe: Self Defense Combinations

4th Stripe: Board Breaks

White Belt Board Breaks are a #3 Step Up Side Kick. Board Breaks must be done with the left and right foot. Students have 3 opportunities to break the board per leg.

5th Stripe: Philosophy Stripe

White Belt Philosophy is:  Pure and without knowledge of martial arts.

6th Stripe: Attendance (Final Stripe)

6th Stripe is for attendance 22 Class minimum to test.
